Alison Mason



About Me 

I am a Birmingham UK based illustrator specializing in embroidery illustration and gouache painting. I enjoy using a range of methods to create work including paper-cut imagery, digital imagery, and printmaking. I have a passion for historical objects meaning my work is often influenced by museums, collections, and antiques. I sell my work at Pink Palace in the Redbrick Market Digbeth. 

Exhibitions and work

Stan's Cafe 



A book cover commission using lino-print and collage printed for the theater company Stans Cafe based in Birmingham's Jewelry Quatre. Made the piece of work in 2018 and was later published in 2020.

She Speaks The Truth/ xChange Exhibition 

Medicine Bakery and Gallery 


Exhibited two embroidery art pieces featuring two public figures who are women campaigners of body positivity. The show focused on the gender gap within the creative industry.

Gallery 1988 LA 



Sold a two piece embroidery work at a group exhibition show at Gallery 1988 in LA . The show focused on TV and film from the 90's. 

The Coracle Trust Ironbridge



Created punch needle cushions for interior design pieces for inside the new shed. 

Created multiple embroidery pieces to be hung for display and exhibition.
